Still Life
In this series, I delve into the wealth of still-life photography, crafting compositions that call out to the elegant manors. Each image is meticulously arranged to highlight the textures and colors. The black backdrop serves as a canvas, allowing the subjects to emerge with a sense of timeless elegance. Drawing inspiration from the chiaroscuro techniques of Dutch Baroque painting, specifically Rachel Ruysch. I used controlled lighting to sculpt the shadows and highlight the details of each object. This approach not only enhances the tactile quality of materials but also the scene of an enduringness. Through this work, I invite viewers to pause and appreciate the beauty found in the stillness of everyday objects, turned into luxury.
